Haunted by memories of a love stopped short, this historically accurate design was worn in honor of a loved one lost in the late 19th century. The pattern is documented as a Victorian Tea Coat, sewn from velvet with Venetian lace trim, Juliet sleeves and tied empire bodice... an ideal robe. The velvet bonnet is a period piece dating to the Civil War with three English netting bows, ruffles and Venetian lace trim.
